THE VINEYARD

THE VINEYARD

The history of my vineyard with Sauvignon Blanc is inextricably linked with that of my family, who owned it, worked on it with care and cherished it for many years.

I had the luck to inherit it from my parents and, from a deep feeling of gratitude and a strong attachment to this place, have decided to continue the wine-growing tradition, a modest one, but one that is important to me.

The vineyard is situated on the Plarser Waalweg path in Lagundo, on a south-facing slope that extends towards Merano and the Burgraviato.

It is a particularly favourable location at approximately 500 m above sea level, where sunshine and the heat of the day alternate with the fresh breeze at night, which blows down from the glaciers of the Ötz valley visible in the distance.

A magical place where wine has been grown for generations and which the mountaineer and film producer Luis Trenker chose in the 1960s to shoot the scenes about the grape harvest for his film Schönes Südtirol, or beautiful South Tyrol.
